The poll of hundreds of Capital City insiders consistently ranks our fearless leader as the most effective public relations professional around — every single year the survey is conducted. It’s unanimous — she’s definitely the best!
As Rossman’s founder, Kelly drives our commitment to our clients and to our values. We’ve got a high bar at Rossman and Kelly sets it higher every day. As a result, no firm works harder to get the job done for our clients than Rossman does — and it shows. Nothing lights her fire like a client challenge — and she’s at her absolute best (just watch her eyes light up!) when she’s helping our clients tackle their thorniest issues and situations.
Kelly pioneered issue management in Lansing and continues to pursue cutting edge work in our field. She’s a certified crisis communicator, a nationally accredited public relations counselor (APR), and a member of the Public Relations Society of America’s (PRSA) distinguished College of Fellows — one of only three in Michigan. She’s also a great motivational speaker who can really rock an audience with her candor, wit and wisdom.
In addition to guiding us to greatness, Kelly is deeply committed to community service and lives by the adage “the more you get, the more you give.” It’s a philosophy instilled in all of us here at Rossman. She chairs the Michigan Chamber Foundation and serves on several other boards, including the Michigan Political Leadership Program, the Michigan Society of Association Executives and the Lansing Economic Development Corporation. And she still meets twice a month with members of the Michigan State University chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America, advising and mentoring dozens of PR students every semester as one of the chapter’s professional advisors.
Although she’s been honored with many awards as a PR professional and woman business owner, nothing thrills her more than hanging out with her four kids and her beloved fiancée, Officer Dave.
